Chianti, Val d'Elsa and Val D'Orcia Photo Tour
A week immersed in an enchanting landscape, where time seems to be stopped and the senses tickled. A beautiful discovery trip, through Tuscan valleys and forests, visiting outstanding cities such as Siena, San Gimignano and Florence. Let yourself be carried by the scent of the woods and the sound of the river, to wander through the beautiful views of the vineyards and rolling hills, surrounded by the colours of Tuscany! A cultural and gastronomic journey, where photography will always be the main theme of our days.

Day 1: Arrival in Florence
Arrival in Florence and check in at your hotel. In the afternoon meeting with your guide and presentation of the tour. In the afternoon we have our 1st photo walk: through the streets of the glamorous and famous historical centre of Florence. Welcome dinner and overnight in Florence. Meals (-/-/D)

Day 2: Val D'Elsa - San Donato
In the morning you've some free time to discover Florence at your own pace. In the early afternoon, transfer to the famous Chianti, wine region. Arrival in the village of San Donato in Poggio (40 min). After hotel check in, we start our 2nd photo walk: sunset discovering the streets of the medieval village of San Donato. This small village still has the thirteenth-century walls with a particular watchtower, the wall in the main square and the typical medieval fabrics. Dinner and overnight at San Donato in Poggio. Day 3: Val d'Elsa- trekking and wine
Today we wake up early for our 3rd photo walking: through vineyards to catch the colours of sunrise. Back to the hotel for breakfast and some free time to relax in the beautiful holiday home in the company of our host, Jade, who will tell us the story of her house and her country. Then in the afternoon 4th photo walk walking through the vineyards of Isole e Olena and finally we will rewarded with a wine tasting. Return by private bus and overnight in San Donato in Poggio. Day 4: San Gimignano - hiking ring around the village (3.5h walk -310mt + 370mt)
This morning after breakfast, transfer to San Gimignano (40 min). Accommodation to our hotel then we start walking for our 5th photo shooting: around the walled medieval hill town of San Gimignano. Known as the "Manhattan of Middle age" San Gimignano is famous for its medieval architecture, unique in the preservation of about 16 of its tower houses, which, with its hilltop setting and the encircling walls form "an unique skyline".
Return to the hotel. Diner and overnight in San Gimignano. Meals (B/L/D)

Day 5: San Gimignano discovery
Today is dedicated to discover the village of San Gimignano. We have our 6th photo walk: trapping the colours and especially the "movement" of the village trades who begins working. Return to the hotel. Selection, vision and collective discussion on the pictures. In the afternoon we have our 7th photo walk: walking among the narrow streets of the historic centre. Free dinner. Overnight in San Gimignano. Meals (B/-/-)

Day 6: Siena
After breakfast, transfer to Siena (30 min). Arrival at the hotel. This is one of the most important city of the Tuscan territory! An authentic jewel, well preserved and made illustrious by the horse racing "Palio di Siena", which each year is played in the famous Piazza del Campo. 8th photo walk: sunset among the narrow streets of Siena. Overnight in Siena. Meals (B/-/D)

Day 7: Hiking the "Siena" ridges (3hrs walking, +350m – 300m)
Today we expect another long but easy hiking for our 9th and last photo walk: along the amazing paths over the hills around Siena. You could discover vast landscapes, sinuous hills and high cowries scattered throughout the territory. Back at the hotel, dinner and overnight in Siena. Meals (B/L/D)



Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, last selection, vision and collective discussion on the pictures (optional). Transfer to the airport. Meals (B/-/-)

Grade: easy, only 3 days trekking. 2 to 4 hours walking. The typology of the paths are: large dirt road, mule track.

Equipment: trekking shoes, water proof jacket, swimming suit, hat, sun glasses and sun cream, trekking poles,
gourde de 1 liter minimum. A rucksack (15/30 litres) for your trekking day.

Photographic Equipment: body SLR or compact digital camera, wide-angle lens, telephoto lens, laptop (for selecting
images) and tripod.

Getting there: The destination airport in Tuscany are Florence or Pisa. From either airports there are many bus
and rail access to the city center. We will set a meeting time with the guide at
