Our destination is Val Pellice, a forgotten valley in the wild Piedmont region of Italy, just on the other side of the Queyras in France. Our basecamp is a very comfortable mountain hut built on a plateau in the heart of a ski touring paradise. We leave civilization behind and access the hut by snowmobile. Every morning we have a 360° view of options to find the best snow and most interesting slopes. After a day of skiing, why not give ice climbing a try? In the evening, after a hot shower, you will be able to enjoy the warm and cozy atmosphere in the lounge that entices you to relax, chat, and play the piano or guitar. Day 1: Arrival in Val Pellice (3hrs, +500m -500m, MS)
Meeting with the Guide at 8am at Oulx train station. We head to Sestriere (on the Val Pellice road) in order to evaluate the level of the group. We then have a 1 hour minibus ride to Val Pellice. There, a snowmobile awaits to take our luggage and we skin up. We either settle in to the lodge or continue ski touring. A hot shower is followed by a cosy fire... what more could you ask for? Dinner and overnight stay in mountain hut. (Meals: D)

From Day 2 to Day 6: Discovering Val Pellice (5hrs, +1000m -1000m, per day, MS)
After a generous breakfast and preparation, we are towed by the snowmobile to begin our day ski touring. On the itinerary we gain about 1000m of elevation per day: Col Manzol, Col Lusiras, Col d'Urine, La Mait d'Amunt etc.. In the afternoon, you can rent crampons, ice axes and harnesses to go ice climbing on the waterfall right next to the lodge. If you wish to take a day off skiing, you can go snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or ice climbing. All accessible at the lodge with rental equipment provided. Dinners and overnights stay in mountain hut. (Meals: B, L, D)
On Day 6, we ski down to the minibus and transfer back to Oulx.
