Day 1: Arrival in Florence
Arrival in Florence and accommodation at hotel***.

Day 2: Florence – San Miniato
Full day at your rhythm to visit Florence, the city of Leonardo, Giotto, Dante and Brunelleschi. In the afternoon a 1h-train-ride will take you at/to San Miniato, the departure point of the Francigena way, leading to Siena. Dinner is not included. Overnight in San Miniato. Meals (B)

Day 3: San Miniato – Gambassi Terme (6 hours hiking, +400 mt -230 mt; 24km)
From san Miniato we follow a hilly path surrounding the Val d'Elsa rich in castles, tiny hamlet and lonely chapels. Along the road you can visit two interesting churches, Pieve di Coiano and Pieve S. Maria just before arriving in Gambassi. Dinner and Overnight in Gambassi Terme. Meals (B,D)

Day 4: Gambassi Terme – San Gimignano (4 hours hiking, +340 mt -330 mt; 14 km)
We leave Gambassi and we'll deep inside a peaceful panorama gently dominated by the unmistakable shape of San Gimignano hill. Declared by the UNESCO World Human Heritage, the city of San Gimignano holds, still intact, its mediaeval urban architecture. In the afternoon you have time to visit the town and admire the spectacular view from one of the towers. Overnight in San Gimignano. Meals (B)

Day 5: San Gimignano – Colle Val D'Elsa (4 hours hiking, +370 mt -310 mt; 13 km)
A gentle hilly trail across a lovely countryside will take you to Colle Vald'Elsa, an interesting town located in the heart of Tuscany, in a strategic position, close to the cities of Siena, Florence and Volterra. The main activity of Colle val D'Elsa, described as "the Bohemia of Italy", is marked by the manufacture of glass and the production of lead-crystal glass. Overnight stay in Colle val d'elsa. Day 6: Colle Val d'Elsa – Monteriggioni (4 hours hiking, +290 mt -320 mt; 14 km)
We leave Colle Val d'elsa and following an lovely path surrounded by Chianti vineyards and olive groves, we head towards Monteriggioni, one of the most classical and best known Italian walled towns. The walls, nearly intact, cover a length of 570 meters and are alternated by 14 towers and two gates. Overnight stay in Monteriggioni. Meals (B)

Day 7: Monteriggioni – Siena (5 hours hiking, +330 mt -280 mt; 20 km)
We leave the walled town of Monteriggioni and we follow a route through a pleasant countryside up to Siena. Siena is characterized by a quaint landscape, the city unrolls in a continuous up and down of streets, where you can discover the white and dark green marble decorated Dome, the Baptistery and the Museum of Metropolitan Opera, or you can simply enjoy the harmonious town square of Piazza del Campo. Overnight stay in Siena. Meals (B)
