Gentle hills, tracks and small villages will accompany the runners during this journey crossing enchanting places such as Florence, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Siena. This 7 days / 6 nights trip is a new experience, entirely dedicated to improve your Trail Running and your Yoga practice.

Day 1 : Florence
From 2pm check-in at the hotel*** in Florence. Meeting with the Mandala Tour team and presentation of the event "Via Francigena Toscana Trail 2022". Dinner in a restaurant in Florence and overnight stay.
Day 2 : Gambassi Terme – San Gimignano (14 km / D+380 m / D-330 m / 2-3 h)
Private transfer to Gambassi Terme for the first stage. You will be running in a serene and silent atmosphere in the hills of San Gimignano. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the town of San Gimignano has preserved its medieval architecture. In the afternoon you will have time to visit the town and admire the spectacular view from the top of its towers. Visit to the Vernaccia Museum and wine tasting. Finally, private transfer to Colle Val D'Elsa. Dinner and overnight stay. Running Yoga’s session: "the stride starts in the shoulders". Work on the yoga mat and then practice outside. Post-race recovery session (breathing and stretching).
Day 3 : Colle Val D’Elsa – Monteriggioni (18 km / D+350 m / D-400 m / 3-4 h)
Today's trail takes you through oak forests that have been used in the local economy since the Middle Ages for building construction. We may see deer, wild boar and foxes. We arrive at the tiny stone village of Strove, surrounded by woods and fields, and after a short regenerating break depart for Monteriggioni: a medieval architectural jewel. Lunch in a typical farmhouse. Return to Colle Val d'Elsa. Dinner and overnight stay. Running Yoga’s session: "pelvis and back straightness". Indoor work on the yoga mat and then practice outside. Recovery session after the race (breathing and twisting)
Day 4 : San Quirico d’Orcia – Bagno Vignoni (18km / D+500m / 4h)
Pleasant yoga practice before breakfast. A private transfer will take you to San Quirico d'Orcia. From here we will start running on a beautiful route through the hills of the Val d'Orcia. It offers spectacular views of Montepulciano, Monte Amiata and Montalcino. The atmosphere of the old farmhouses among olive trees, vineyards and cypresses offers one of the most beautiful views of Tuscany. Dinner and overnight in San Quirico d'Orcia. Running Yoga’s session: "Support, optimising your running". Work inside on the yoga mat and then
practice outside. Recovery session after the race (breathing and specific work on the feet)
Day 5 : San Quirico d’Orcia – Sant’Antimo (16 km/D+400m/ D-400 m/ 3h)
The Abbey of Sant'Antimo is a place of extraordinary peace and beauty. Perhaps the most beautiful abbey in Tuscany. We pass through unspoilt nature, shady woods, olive groves and vineyards until we cross the river Asso. After a final short climb, we reach the highest point of the trail, with a spectacular view of the abbey. Along the ridge we descend to the small village of Castelnuovo dell'Abate. Private transfer to Montalcino, a beautiful medieval town with a great history and prestigious wine. A visit to a wine cellar with wine tasting is a must. Return by private transfer to the hotel where we will have free time to do yoga, rent a bike or enjoy the pool. Dinner and overnight stay in San Quirico d'Orcia
Running Yoga’s session: "the phrase of the running yogis". Indoor work on the yoga mat and then practice outside. Post-race recovery session (learning a series of postures adapted to the runner)
Day 6 : Quinciano – Siena - (18km / D+300m / D-300m / 3-4 h)
A suggestive final stage ending in the centre of Siena: a sublime city with unique architecture and classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a guided tour to discover the city centre of Siena, with its monuments like the Duomo decorated with white and green marble, the Piazza del Campo known for the "Palio" and the Torre del Mangia. Celebratory dinner and overnight stay in Siena.
Running Yoga’s session: our last Running Yoga’s session will be built specifically on the group skill.
Debreifing
Day 7 : Départure
After breakfast our services end. You can easily reach Florence by bus or extend your stay in Rome or other tuscans tows.

Expect 2-5 hours of trail running each day, long mule tracks, mountain trails.
Previous running experience is recommended.
Essential equipment :
A rain and or waterproof jacket, running shorts, long-sleeved fleece T-shirt, cap or headband, a pair of sunglasses suitable for running, a hat and thin gloves, a pair of previously worn Trail shoes with non-slippery soles, pairs of low socks, water bottles (1L), snacks (dried fruit, energy bars, etc.), running sticks (optional).
Luggage:
One soft travel bag per person which contains all your belongings for the stay, a small backpack (10/15L approx) which will contain the day's belongings during the race.
